Audit Fees

The accounting and audit functions must be segregated in an SMSF.

Where Superannuation Warehouse is the Fund’s accountant and tax agent, the audit fee is included.

Superannuation Warehouse also provides auditing services for other accountants as well as for SMSFs for whom we provide no other services. Cost control is a key factor in the success of an SMSF. That’s why we provide price certainty for conducting audits.

Reasons to use our SMSF audit service are:

  • SMSF Audit Fees are based on the complexity of the work involved – not on a percentage of the assets in the fund
  • SMSF Audit Fees are known in advance
  • SMSF Audit Fees are simple to understand
  • Audit quoting that tells you what the audit fee will be
  • We are an ASIC registered auditor – Auditor Number 100113497

Audit Independence

Audit independence means that the auditor and auditing firm cannot also provide non audit services to the SMSF. For a diagram on audit independence, see page 53 of the Audit Independence Guide.

Accounting Firms

We recognise there are significant efficiencies associated with auditing multiple SMSFs, particularly where they have a similar structure (e.g. a similar trust deed). Accordingly, we offer a discount to accountants, financial planners and SMSF Administrators with multiple funds which require auditing. Just add “Multiple Funds” in the audit quoting tool.
